Our Advisory Board had a great discussion about The Way Opens. While I have only lived in Lynchburg 10 years, several of our members lived through and even participated in the events of the book. Their insight and experiences really helped bring the era into focus for us. Understanding the unique history of Lynchburg's race relations helps us in today's work toward racial equity.
